BIRDS
Birds have always fascinated me, especially the shore birds of Long Island Sound. When depicting birds, I try to show something about the essence of the particular species. This comes from many hours directly observing them in their natural habitats. This direct experience provided the confidence to work on a series of more free form and imaginative paintings; three of these are displayed at the bottom of this page.
